Overview
Claude Yard is a native terminal manager for Claude Code. Here’s what it does.
Workspace layout
Section titled “Workspace layout”The app is divided into three areas.
Tool rail — buttons to spawn Claude sessions, shell tabs, or browser panels.
Terminal area — tabbed panels. Each tab is an independent process. Drag to split or rearrange.
Session sidebar — full history of every Claude session, grouped by project. Dots indicate status.
Parallel sessions
Section titled “Parallel sessions”Run multiple Claude instances at once, each working independently.
Resume any conversation
Section titled “Resume any conversation”Click a past session in the sidebar. Claude Yard reopens it with full history.
Browser panels
Section titled “Browser panels”Native Chromium views alongside your terminals.
MCP orchestration
Section titled “MCP orchestration”One Claude instance can manage others through MCP tools.
